Hypo

Description:

Nutech Hypo is formulated to assist the removal of moss, lichen, fungus, and other forms of contamination during the wash-down preparation of a roof prior to coating

Hypo is a mild chlorine solution very similar in essence to that which is used to clean swimming pools. Chlorine is a natural fungicide and kills off most plant life when applied in concentration. Supplied at 16% solution, Hypo is often diluted 1:1 with water to provide an 8% sodium hypochlorite solution. When sprayed onto a cement or terracotta roof, this solution will attack and loosen most levels of mould or lichen. For more resistant areas of contamination apply the Hypo undiluted.

  Applications:

Liberally apply Hypo or diluted solution by broom, brush, back-pack sprayer, to saturate the surface contaminants. DO NOT USE A AIRLESS SPRAY MACHINE. Allow the product to soak into the surface perhaps recoating areas if necessary. Leave the roof for a couple of hours, or preferablyovernight, before high presure cleaning off. Your roof should come up looking spick and span and ready for sealing or recoating.

DO NOT apply Hypo in direct sunlight which would break it down immediately and prevent it doing any good.

  Applications:

Nutech Urethane #1 provides excellent chemical and waterproof protection against most chemicals, fats, oils, alkalis, and salts; and with a finish impervious to moisture and waterborn bacteria. Suitable as a wear resistant and protective coating on a wide variety of substrates including porous terracotta, concrete, timber, and masonry surfaces.

This coating is non-yellowing with a high degree of UV light stabilisers.

Urethane #1 is a particularly useful coating where hygiene and health requirements are important such as in food preparation, medical, and laboratory premises.

  Warnings:

It is also caustic and will corrode metals. Application guns should be flashed through thoroughly. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for full details.
